It's a lovely synth, simple but great sounding and possibly my current favorite, but...
1) When I save a project in eXT, the state of SANE FM doesn't save. Relatedly (I think)
2) None of the parameters show up in the eXT 'cc map' window - ie eXT doesn't seem to recognize it as having any parameters and less importantly
3)it doesn't seem to have velocity sensitivity, which I've always thought was a fairly fundamental control.
Those issues aside though, it's becoming my go to synth for plonky tappy blippy noises. Lovely work.
(He he - KvR won't let me have SANE FM as the title because it thinks I'm shouting...)

Hmmm, that's a problem I wasn't aware of, I'm currently have some problems with my internet connection, but this should be solved in a couple of weeks, at least I hope so.
Update 1.1 is coming out when that thing is solved. And it will feature a built in preset manager and fully automation.

And oh yes before I forget it, there is a tiny little chance that Sane fm may feature a wave recorder. It isn't sure if it will be done, but looking at SynthMaker 0.9.7 shows that it at least have a waveplayer included. No prommises can / will be given at this time since I haven't been able to look into SynthMaker 0.97.

Oops, should have checked the 'problems' thread first, this has already been mentioned - although the parameters not showing up in eXT cc map might be a clue as to what's going on.
But at least now there's a chance of an appreciation thread - I love this synth! It's so simple (which is especially welcome for an FM synth) but produces such great sounds (which is welcome anywhere).
