I got a question to all GigaStudio users out there (and I kinda need it quick, sorry).
I'm speculating with GigaPulse or wizooVerb W2 for a while now, but someone offered me GigaStudio3 Ensemble for dirt cheap and I'm really interested in it because GigaPulse is included.
However I'm puzzled. On the Tascam page is written that only PulsePro is useable as NFX plugin for other samplepacks. Does that mean I can't even use it in Cubase either so I have to get the VST version of pulse?
Also, what's the difference between Pulse and PulsePro?
Can someone maybe fill me in?
Thanks.
GigaStudio3 Solo/Ensemble - GigaPulse usable as VST Plugin?

I have Gigastudio 3 orchestra (the biggest version of 3 avaialble) and to the best of my knowledge you cannot use the included gigapulse reverb outside of gigastudio itself. They have now released a vst version of gigapulse but you have to buy this seperately. I think you might be able to upgrade to the gigapulse vst from gigastudio (i.e. get it cheaper) so it might be worth your while factoring the cost of doing that together with the cost of gigastudio to see what it would be in total.
Good luck

Hm... unfortunately I didn't see an upgrade path on the Tascam Page for GigaPulse.
Maybe someone else who can help out in here, too? Thanks.

Ensemble's GigaPulse works only inside Ensemble, and only when you're using a Giga instrument or library that was recorded in its special format to take advantage of the whole microphone-placement thing it does. Which means it will be great with the included GigaPiano and, I think, the big drum kit, but nothing else outside, unless you buy some of the (usually expensive) library packs.. This is a major limitation, and likley one reaon you can get it so cheap.
Tascam's docs on this issue feel almost deliberately unclear. I'm not sure, but I think that you can't do the mic-placement thing in GigaPulse VST, either. It supposedly is an extremely good convo reverb, though.
You probably already know this, but you can get the GigaPulse VST from ScitScat for $99. ScitScat is where most of us who bought Ensemble got it recently. It's only $49 there now.
