Ableton sets mapped midi CCs as global, so you have to start switching midi channels from your knob box as you switch between multiple vstis. Or you have to map directly to the vsti.
Which host allows you to map knobs easily to vstis, then allows you to switch between many and different instances with ease? (without playing with your controllers memory or midi channels)
I also like looping midi, so ease of making loops is a factor as well.
What host am I looking for?

I think the new feature "Act" in Sonar 6 will do what you are looking for.
I'm glad the c major scale was invented before copyright law
