Hi. I am runagate. I like kittens.

• In a startling move away from my normal praxis I have used a grand total of 4 VSTs in this song:
  
  Novuzeit's forthcoming The Hands Of Darkness - Clenched
  Liqih's forthcoming Acidome
  Ugo's Ironhead
  some limiter, I forget which, but it didn't do anything it's sill mostly peaks.

Just some regular old beats to demo the instruments of some of our modern day great masters of the VST development trade.

All patches are made by me so don't blame them for any oddities that may arise in the sound spectrum. Come to think of it were it not for them afording me the opportunity to be a sound designer for them I wouldn't be able to afford these sick, wonderful instruments to begin with so thanks to them. They actually consider making 200+ patches work? If that's work then I'm an Amish gigolo!

As to the brilliant Acidome, it now comes with a little app that allows you to import WAVs to be used in it's wave-oscillator so most of these weird basslines use my own imported waves which so far as I know will be included in Acidome, also. A very, very, very cool feature. You can draw them and make or alter them that way, too. If I had more CPU power I'd have used lots more of the 150 Acidome patches I made but such is life.

I was just looking around for you and found you here.

Might I point out that, atypically, there's no parameter automation on this track. It's hard for me to believe that all those psychotic sounds came straight from THODC! There's only 2 different midi note lines in there for it - one with short notes, one with long held notes, otherwise the exact same notes for 5 minutes.

Some of those stabs and pads sound more like things I labor over for hours with DtBlkFx and Lost Tech and Run-A-Dub-Dub on em than anthing that could possibly have some from a synth.

Course, they're all 4-bar renders to wav. Turning on every single fx and osc and lfo inside THODC at once seriously rapes my crappy processor.

Some of these sounds I like so much it was deleriously hard to keep it as simple as I did to show off the sounds of the VSTi and not just go off on a tangent of insane space dub.

I'm working on a Acidome/Acilead (<---look, that's the first time I've spelt it right!)/Modelonia/Marimka demo atm.

You have so many VSTs that I'd have to go look at the DASH and NuSofting sites just to see if that's all the ones I have I'm not even sure. Sometimes it seems like you made 1/2 the things I lust after out of hundreds hehehe.

I'm frinally caught up to only missing out on your newest one from tonight. Your "Resolution" is aptly named, as it reminds me of "Open Field Joy" by Mahavishnu. Not the sounds, just the captured tone of Nirmama.

ha ha,ironic,liqi and ugo synths in 'resolution' are so pretty and soft warm sounding unlike these these oinks and plunks squealchy pinks and scratchy drain nintendo noises.

The implication of the track title may be lost on you, even with your great English. "How Much Do I Not Give A" leaves off the implicit "f**k" which is best stated in Latin, I think: Flocci non facio!

I just don't feel like competing against my peers.
Although I guess I really would like Cameleon someday lol.
My Cafe songs are usually consciously provokative.

You tell me: why do you send me so few mellosongs when of all the KVRtists' songs that I subject non-musicians to yours are always the favorites?

I am amused to note that you're the first person I can think of that I've sent a FL zipped project to that actually has FL!

Though really as there's 4 whole midi parts of 4 bar length in the whole song it's got to be the least complex thing I've ever made. All the goodness is in the patch design, which is why I had to send you all 29 Mb of wavs. THOD-C isn't released yet But I think it'll soon come into it's own with JD's patchmaking ninja team on the job.
