Well, they only have a few hours left. What are the chances of them changing the release dates again (for the 3rd or 4th time from memory)
I made the mistake of waiting for some of the releases based on the original schedule (in which ALL NI products would have been updated by now!!!)
I NEED guitar rig!

I normally like to trash NI
but as I remember it - the Intellimac decission was not made in Berlin. As I remember it - with the first Intellimac available Apple did not have ONE pro app available for it. As I remember it, Apple charged more for less.
How should NI be able to develop Intellimac releases if one of the major hosts (cubase) just became available - then it crashes on some systems (like with the new releases: Absynth4, FM8, etc.) and NI is bad again.
You should send your appreciation cards to Cupertino - and there is somebody who even cares less the Not Interested does!
I know it is hard - but if you invest in a platform that is not yet supported - well, you knew it!

Well surely this doesn't prevent NI from releasing AU versions of their plugins in the meanwhile and delaying release of the vst? I don't think the anger is largely coming from Cubase(read: vst) users, and as you rightly point out, there *are* no cubase users on the intel mac platform. There are Cubase users on Intellimacs.

I have Absynth 4 and :
1) there are some problems in Live with multi-outs
2) some things where just left out and are supposed to come with the next update (supposed to come withing a few days!!! - that one is really funny, no?) they even show those left out features on their homepage
3) Interface is slow
4) new browser is not well thought out
5) problems with Cubase 4, Live 6 and so on ....
(at least some of these points are also true for FM8 and Battery 3)
Software is released when a company things it is good for publicity or income - not when it is ready!
maybe with 30US$ updates the fustration of the customers is not worth an early release (early income) which is not true for >100US$ updates/releases.
On the other side - I am not on Intellimac yet - so I am relaxed. But we all know that schedule game for some time now - this was the same for the transition to OSX (not only with NI), with Kontakt 2.1 update, etc.

Ya know, I'm not making up the quote off ni's website about guitar rig ub's being available "in a few days" A MONTH AGO, AND NOW SAYING SOME TIME IN NOVEMBER........not my fuckin' quote.......it was theirs.
Also, I never promised UB updates for the guitar combos.......NI did.....now there will be no update......nope, not my fault, it's ni's.

I'm not holding my breath...when it comes it comes. I understanding the reason behind "charging" for the UB update. If they're smart about the whole thing, they should "wave" the charge and that would make us "less" irritated.
