Tell me everything I need to use soundfonts

Post

A soundcard like a Creative X-Fi or a soundfont player (look in KvR's VSTi database). Some samplers handle soundfonts too.

O.K, if you have a look on this site, it won't take you long to find out what you need to know, but eventually you might be scratching your head again when you come across sfArk & SFPack files. These are basically compressed soundfont files.

So heres the links in advance:

sfArk http://www.melodymachine.com/sfark.htm

SFPack http://www.personalcopy.com/sfpack.htm

p.s take a look at "rgc audio sfz +" thread. Posted by CypherOne

that will do a good job of playing soundfonts.
