Great- is it something you can share with the class?SampleScience wrote:Hi synthgeek, thanks for the sounds! I did use the first dog fx pack in a tune recently, keep them coming!
There will be more sounds in the dog fx series, btw... don't know exactly how many, at least another pack or 3.
I have a Peavy SMR 6 6-channel mic pre (on "indefinite loan" from a friend) going into an M-Audio Delta 1010 LT. My mic collection is small but growing... these samples were mostly recorded with a Sennheiser e835 going direct into the pre's on the soundcard, the 2nd household pack was done with an MXL 2001 condenser. I also have an Audio-Technica ATM33a (sm diaphragm condenser), and this weird old Akai dynamic that looks like it came off a video cam or something (pic below). That's what I use when I think there's a good chance the mic could get damaged. It actually sounds better than you might think.Genetic_Junk wrote:What's your sampling setup?

I had a Presonus TubePre for a little while, but it died about a month after the warranty ran out. I didn't like it much anyway- but the MXL mic came free with the purchase. I figure I would've paid the same price for just the mic as I did the whole package, so I'm really not out anything.
One thing on my studio wish-list is a portable digital recorder, for now I've been using a cassette recorder when I really need to.

Hi SynthGeek!
About the samples: I think they are really good, especially the loops are very well crafted & the kits are nice to load & abuse with some FXs. Thanks again!
About the tune: I may upload it eventually but it will be when I'll eventually update my website... dunno when but eventually!
cheers!

I've only just got round to listening to these and the others in your other thread, and there is some really interesting sounds in these packs. Thanks.
