x-treme fx1.dat file missing

For some inexplicable reason, X-treme FX stopped working. The AU manager can't validate it in Logic Express 7. I discovered that the only X-treme fx1.dat file I have is an alias and wasn't in the compnonet file. So, how do I fix this. Do I reinstall the whole program? Any answers are appreciated.
