I only see presets or settings not the tone if that is what ya mean. And you don't get every note either. And there is so much history about? 
Some instruiments could fill up one CD alone. For every instruiment ever created there could possibly be a potential sample CD for it.
Im sampling my cheap keyboard. Its just got the standard presets. But I can switch it to, so it just plays the tone whith out any effect, sought of. And Iv sampled practicaly every note. I did 41( first 3 octaves) of I think about 50. I think I should have done them all, and might another day. In length they are all more than 20 seconds. For what it is I got good results.
For those interested or contemplainting it. You need to atleast be able to get the basic tone of the instruiment first befor you try anything complex, cause you have to tune every note. Yes, I mean every key on the keyboard?.
Its not worth bothering about using a sample set if every note has not been sampled. So, when you are doing something more complex, you have to remember the settings and then tune up whith your basic tone first, get the knobs into position and then record.
