New version freeware TubeDriver VST plug-in by Nick Crow.
It's based on real tube cascade modeling.

*sigh* There goes the GUI and back to "box with boring dials and over-lit tube" - had the feeling it'd happen, and it did.

What I'd like to see for future version:
- a proper manual
- less flashy tube on the right
- numeric entry of settings (and numeric response of the dials in general, but not % but dB)
- more preset slots.

Same counts to TubeMaximizer. Now only a Tape Saturator left and the pack is complete (though I already have ton of maximizing plugins).

Thanks for this lil tool.

(1) I do miss the old look, that tube glow is a bit doggy.

(2) I'd like different types of tubes for some variations in the way it colors the sound.

(3) Top class plugin. fantastic sound.......

Hey Nick.

I don't know what you did but, this one pulls more processing power than the older version.

in this version it is a real CPU hog. although i really like its sound and the fact that the first Voltage knob finally does something.

would be nice if the drive knob does not increase volume, just adds distorts (with bisa setting it does not increase volume thought) . its easyer to adjust the distortion/drive that way, becouse increasing volume influences perception too much to judge the degree of distrtion (of couse one could pull the volume pack afterwards, but this makes finetuning more difficult).

thanks for this plug anyways. i really like how it smoothes out edgy drums.

+1 to all the above...and if one of KVR's resident graphics wizards could knock up a skin equal to the sound, no disrespect to Nick's efforts, then he'd have a real winner on his hands 8)

thanks, nick. your plug sounds great on my guitar tracks. :D

i was playing with some GUI ideas, and have a 4 knob GUI (i guess not many will like it, its a big knob gui). since the knobs and case is made of glass, i could try to make the center knob glow on "tube activity". may be difficult to animate it seperated to the knob rotation thought.
