Vip Zone and Midi Files

I was thinking about getting the midi files for trance arpeggios
i enjoy editing the notes
but its kinda nice to have a midi arp to work from
rather than just turning the knobs on my arp fx
if you know what i mean?
basically i'm thinking about playing with arps from the other end
where i can manually adjust the notes and see them in my piano roll
(i'm very visual when i write music)
anyone have some advice or opinions?
i'm not as interested in the samples as i will still wanna do a LOt of tweaking...
