Tempo question

Ok I have a few samples of instrument riffs etc. but the problem is they dont keep a constant tempo, so when I try to place tracks with them it drags or is to fast. Is there anyway to set a sample to a tempo? with an audio program or something like that? I use fruity loops and adobe audition. Thanks for any help.

Adobe Audition can change the tempo of a sample. But in FLStudio it should also be possible. I think it's somewhere in the manual: time slicing or time stretching, or I dunno... It's there somewhere....
