You went for a more stable platform that's more stable because it has no software, there's nothing to be shocked about

A useless post, but one that's hardly surprising on kvr. Image line's put out an os x version of toxic III, so on its face it's not a completely unreasonable question.tony tony chopper wrote:You went for a more stable platform that's more stable because it has no software, there's nothing to be shocked about
boxynbaby: If you've got an intel mac, you could always run FL in Boot Camp, but you're still gonna have to put up with winblows. Someone told me that there's a program called Renoise available for mac(and win) thats somewhat similar to FL but, never having used either, I can't say whether this is true or not. What DAW/sequencer have you been using since you went mac?

That is true, and whenever the subject has been brought up, they seem quite firm on this.cusis wrote:HEHE, no offence but serves you right for moving to mac os... no seriosuly it says in the fl studio website that there will never be a mac version, sorry
As far as OSX vs Windows, your all retarded.

It's a technical restriction, as we've always said - no Delphi for Mac OS, so..
But even if I had the choice, I still wouldn't consider it. I've only heard crap about Mac programming, Apple apparently having no consideration for programmers or backwards compatibility. Basically totally the opposite of Microsoft.

That *is* a legitimate criticism in the mac vs. pc audio debate(unlike the absurd suggestion that there's no mac audio software). Has nothing to do with what the dude is asking about though.tony tony chopper wrote: Apple apparently having no consideration for programmers or backwards compatibility. OK so as a mac user why would I buy any of your "mac" compatible software? With an attitude like that, you hurt your own sales of mac versions of your synths. Knowing that Image Line have publicly stated that they find it easier working with windows makes it easy to assume that their efforts for mac will be limited. Let me put it this way, why would I buy a synth from a company that publicly states it's distaste for the platform I use? That would be pretty stupid of me wouldn't it?tony tony chopper wrote: But even if I had the choice, I still wouldn't consider it. Good luck with your mac sales.
FYI NI sell about 50/50 mac/pc

Sooner or later Gol will get his hands on a Macbook Pro, realize it's a good platform (fun to develop for; and I'm speaking as a MacOSX developer), and you might witness the abandonment of the Windows version.Cyrosis wrote:That is true, and whenever the subject has been brought up, they seem quite firm on this.cusis wrote:HEHE, no offence but serves you right for moving to mac os... no seriosuly it says in the fl studio website that there will never be a mac version, sorry
