HI

Are there any plans to bring out any new electric guitar sets for Manystation.

I really like the electric guitar sounds of manystation, but a wider variety of base sounds would be nice.

Different makes of electric guitar, some more incidental sounds, different tonal settings, perhaps even some live and acoustically recorded sample sets?

I like the way Linplug acomplished this with some wildly different sounding saxaphone sets.

More variety needed; I am sure people would be up for this.

Hi Flipper

Of course we have plans for more GUITARS!!!!!!
And of course, like our other addon libraries, like our bass sets, they will be more detailed and extensive sets.

I think first though you will see 1 more Very large Bass library from us, as we announced that we had 3 on the go recently and we released the 2 new acoustic basses already. So that leaves a huge 2 gig+ electric bass library that we are currently working on and it should be our next major product release after ManyOne.

Then I plan on sampling my 1970 era Gibson Les Paul Custom. And Greg was talking of doing some new guitars also.

Remember also, that ManyGuitar has more guitars in it. (Besides the 600 meg of guitars and basses from ManyStation there is also another 600 meg of different guitars and basses) All these will load into ManyStation, including the Telecaster set that in my opinion is one very nice toned and layered guitar sampleset.

So ...ya ...you will see more! Thanks for asking as it kicks me in the butt and lets me know what you guys want. The Gibson is one of the projects slated next here though. A few other cool guitars also down the line, including an old 1940 - 1950 era Acoustic Archtop. I'll talk more about the others, besides the Gibson LP, once i sit down and start sampling them. (I am a stringed instrument collector and have plenty of cool and vintage instruments to eventually sample.)

Again...Thanks for asking.

Yup, that bass library is pretty elephantine already. I've been using it in a lot of the music I write already. Just road testing it, you see... However, I mustn't be selfish and keep it all to myself. Anyway, frankly, I think you guys will go bananas over it. ;)

I've been spending a lot of time messing around with instruments and trying to find out what makes them sound "real" and how to capture that in samples. So I definitely have big plans for the future also.

HI

Thanks for that.

I just find that having a selection of very different sounding guitars can inspire.

Talking of 'how you might sample' to create a particular sound, how about live sampling in a subtle ambient situation, or through a combo with very mild tone adjustment, mixing a combination of DI and miked cabinet ... software fx like Guitar Rig et al are OK, but they can't match the real ambient feel or tones of a real world amplifier/venue ... just some ideas?
