Apologies to Gregjazz re: Ultimate Bass Kit tuning comment

I would like to sincerely apologize to Gregjazz and retract any sort of conjecture or speculation that stemmed from a comment that I made in another post regarding Ultimate Bass Kit's samples sounding slightly flat in pitch.
I have a degree in computers and over 22 years of music study, including collegiate-level ear training, and I am familiar with my gear enough to know that my reference points seemed to be on pitch. However, knowing what went into this module, the quality of Greg's work (both musical and otherwise) and how great the Manystation module is, I wanted to give it a second chance.
After doing so, I would like to state for the record that the Ultimate Bass Kit's samples are not only in perfect tune, but is one of the best darn bass-guitar modules anywhere when coupled with the Manystation module for any price, and it's ridiculously cheap considering some of the other things out there.
Although I can decently play bass, I am primarily a guitarist and don't have a bass axe or the proper outboared gear to get good quality sound. It may just be that for an all vst solution, the UBK + the "free" bass rig described here -
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=88913
might be the best bass "solution" out there for anyone who programs (instaed of plays) bass guitar parts at an affordable price.
I hope that everyone who needs a bass "solution" like this will consider the Ultimate Bass Kit - http://www.manytone.com/
I am deeply sorry to Gregjazz and anyone who got the impression due to my comment that somehow UBK was less than exceptional quality, and I hope that everyone has a happy holidays,

I have no idea what this was all about as i didn't read your initial post, but to make a retraction/correction like that publicly is pretty damn respectable.

And the new Manystation acoustic and upright bass kits are really cool too, for all the same reasons and more.

PaulG - your apology reflects very well on you. It's a shame there's not more people like you posting here.

So was there some technical glitch that caused it to sound flat on first listening? Or were your ears just having an off-day?

Thanks for making the public retraction, that took real guts to post.
Best regards and respect, and happy holidays!

+1 on being good enough to publicly make amends for being wrong on something.
If everyone here did that...... there'd have to be a whole new forum section.... Maybe right above HPC....
