How to make Julie Scats collection sing my melody?

I have a few questions about the Julie Scats collection. I have downloaded the free samples and they are really good. However, how can I get Julie to scat in pitch to a melody I have created?

Also, is there a list of samples that are in the collection? And finally, are there any WusikStation presets included? Thanks your help.

Glad that you like the samples!

All the samples in the Scats collection are one-shot samples, some are whole phrases and others are the phrases divided in individual notes. They cannot be played chromatically and for instance sing a scale or a melody directly from the keyboard. However it is possible to use the individual notes samples (notes are indicated in name of samples) to make a melody. Another possibility, if your melody has a small range, is to map the sample(s) that fits the melody in a sampler (like our freeware Zamp). Of course the sample will now be stretched when you play the keyboard but if you stay within a few steps of the root it will be acceptable.

You might also want to check the Julie Resynth set which allows chromatic playing and has 62 Wusikstation presets:

I just made the list, you can check it out HERE
The Wusikstation version does not really have presets, there are only 6 that load each of the waveforms as the samples are grouped in 6 different waveforms.

I hope this helps and do not hesitate to ask any other questions you may have.

This is an example of chromatical use of Julie. In this case using Leapfrog Rephrase, with only a single sample. With a little more effort (I'm lazy) you can find a whole set of sounds (as zvon mentioned) and create a melodic tune that's not as boring as mine.
