Anyone have any tips on how to make one?
Such as how long the single notes should be
and so on? I dont want to make a riff library, what I want is to chromatically
sample each note.

Take a look at the Ultimate Guitar Kit 2. I believe that's the benchmark as it's the best free electric guitar sample set out there (or was last time I checked).

Hi Guys
Ultimate Guitar Kit was Gregs early work. Some of his latest and greatest stuff is now available through www.manytone.com

He has learned a lot since UGK and his new stuff is a step up from this earlier freebee from him. But yes, UGK is still a nice free kit.

Yeah, actually I'm kinda embarrassed looking back at the ultimate guitar kit. Definitely check out ManyGuitar, that has some great guitar and bass samples in it. (shameless plug)
