In this case, the idea to add this forum. Let's start with some tips and tricks, shall we?

I like to create a template for certain classes of sounds that I know share a basic structure, the best specific example being volume enveloping. I always liked that the good old VFX series synths by Ensoniq had envelope presets you could use, like piano, organ, strings, drums. So I sometimes create such envelop init patches for the synths I work with. It's a big time saver.

Now let's hear some of yours so I can steal them.

I always found Absynth the best for that kind of thing. You can load in an envelope from the library to affect anything you want. Its like having lego!!

mmmmmh, modular goodness, with a dollop of modern ingenuity.

That's actually a genuinely great idea, especially when -as amberience said- it's simplified by synths themselves. Do any other synths allow you to load envelopes separately?

also, dover, could you maybe put a picture of a duck in your sig, making it easier for me to distinguish between you and Sickle? My mind has terrible issues telling you two apart. For no clear reason, mind you.
