d/l tobybear's minihost: there is a preset manager in it that is the best around. Load up the vst, then import the individual banks - you cann arrange/rename/ whatever, and then export as a bank.

It's quite hard to create a bank. It's easier to buy one or merge with one. Although most banks don't have problems with creating new branches...
yes I know, I need to take a break from work during the holidays.

how about say, adding my presets into the original ones that come with a vst??? for instance, i dont remember what vst it was, but it came with a number of presets, and i downloaded a bank also....when i loaded the bank into it, the old presets dissapeared, and i no longer had them...i had to re-install the plug to get them back...

what host do you use?
most of the time, when you import a bank (*.fxb), when you reload the plug, the factory bank will be present. You shouldn't have to re-intall it, though with some, especially synthedit plugs, you might have to reload it.

----Minihost is super simple, you can load in all your individual presets, and click a button to export them all as one .fxb (up to 128 I believe). If you want them *in* an SE plug, like as the defaults, you'll havta re-render it to vst with them in it, it's easier to just import that .fxb you made via your host.

Try saving the bank that came with the plugin as "default.fxb" before loading another bank.LOOPxDIGGA wrote:....when i loaded the bank into it, the old presets dissapeared, and i no longer had them...i had to re-install the plug to get them back...
