The song is DJ Sasha - Be as One

At about 12 seconds in the clip this pad comes in. It sounds like a filter sweeping up with a bit of resonance but I cant seem to get its sound. I think it has some EQ or multiband comp on it and probably some delay. Any help is appreciated and I usually use sytrus but I also have synth1 and stuff. Thanks

You got it nailed. Filter freq slowly increasing, delay, chorus etc. Trick is to find a filter that you think sounds close to your example. You might pull it off by using two Synth 1'S tuned an octave apart and slowly sweeping the filter from the bottom (delay, chorus to taste). :D

Hmmm... at 12s starts a sweep sound (don't hear a pad at that point) using Bandpass or a serial Higpass/Lowpass combination...
A formant is a preferred resonating frequency of any acoustical system.

you know a really good cheap way to get nice warm analog pad sounds is the matrix 1000 by Oberheim. They go on ebay for around $150

you also might try out cascading filters for a more complex sweep :)
