Hope everyone is having a great and safe holiday so far! :D

Got another doosy of a request.. Need an Audio Snagger/Sample Recorder vst plugin that does this:

- Records in sync with Host.
- Starts recording on MIDI on.
- Stops recording on MIDI off.
- Creates a .wav file after each on/off.
- Auto saves/names (incremented #) these files to selected folder (this is based on naming the file on initial 'save as' ie. Drums001.wav)

Sounds pretty simple right? It's funny cause I've had a hell of a time trying to find something that will either do this properly or let me automate it (via parameters).. The only one that comes close is OneShot Recorder by DevineMachine.. The problem with this is that it has a wonky pitch detection thing that messes up the samples for my (for some reason)..

Also, how would I put in a request for developement for something like this.. Seems like it would be pretty easy to code??

Please let me know if you know of something that'l do this..

Thanks in advance

Anything?................. Even a buffer recorder would be cool if it had an option to save audio direct to disk.

PLEASE HELP..

Image This seems pretty cool. The only problem is that I would like to be able to make a list of wave files that are autonamed (incrementally) instead of manually naming the file.. Plus the length of each recording should be dictated by the length of the current MIDI note..

OH I almost forgot... Maybe I should be looking at getting something whipped together in Synthedit or Bidule?? Is this simple plugin even feasable??

This is becoming frustrating (trying to find the plugin is)... I've searched google and here still nathin.. Hey if someone could leave me a list of all audio snaggers/ inline recorders, samplers with record (Tryed Highlife & I own DirectWave), Audio Buffers with save/stream/auto save features.. Please let me know...

no problem really, i'll see what i can do. so you want it to kick in on a note on, and kick off on note off? so, it can just increment a counter on note on and decrement on note off, when reaching zero, it'll save the output it has gathered since the first note on.

you want to be able to put in some filename and have it output filename###.wav for you, incrementally through decimal like 001, 002, 003, 004, etc, and

you want the files saved as.. floating point stereo?

Aciddose..YES PLEASE YES!!!! Just to let you know I've tryed several inline recorders (free/$) and nothing does the naming part automatically.. I figured that Silver Spike TI 2.3 would be able to be automated to do the same but someone told me the parameters are non CC functioning.. Like an idiot I bought Oneshotrecorder thinking it would do the same thing and it does but the friggin pitch detection and audio triggering mess with my samples aarrrggg..

So again here are some other features (that are probably straight forward):
((NOTE: hard = complected coding, not ego bashin))

- MIDI on/off detected FROM HOST (not external source).
- (if not too hard) Selectable CC or ON/OFF to trigger recording... (If too hard on/off is fine)
- Can either have a sync to host feature (which denotes a MTC feature) or again if too hard can just be triggered by on/off ONLY.

Let me know if you need any help and Thanks again Aciddose!!!

Edison will do something close. It will record on host playback, and place markers for each take. Then you can ask it to save each marked zone in its own file.

I was wondering if Edison would do something like this.. My question there is what is the best way to get my hands on Edison, FL beta? or Juicepack? Also If I buy juicepack can I use Edison in VST hosts other than FL??

I don't know if every function is already in the Edison in the current Juice Pack, but yes it's the idea (to use it in other hosts).

Hmm.. It looks like edison kinda does the job but I still have to manually name the parts after plus I have to stop the sequencer erase the midi part I dont want then trigger Edison... PLus imagine if I had 50 tiny little midi arps to play out.. THAT WOULD BE HEEEELLLLAAHHHHH no go.. Why oh why did Devine Machine have to put that stupid Tuning crap in OSR.. it would have been perfect for me..
