hi,
i'm not an expert in sample format and i 'd like to ask you few questions:
i'd like to know wether there are differences between all those formats provided by manufacturers (fxp, nki, giga, sfz, akai...)
are some formats more transparent (sound)or flexible than others?
are there formats better for CPU ressources (i'm not talking about RAMsave obviously)?
what is your experience considering format, conversion and ease-of-use?
i wish to know more about all that; i'm lacking of experience
thanks

Yes, ofcourse there are differences. But the simularities are still plenty. If you lack experience, then it probably doesn't really matter at all for you. Start with a cheap or free sample player (sfz for instance) and upgrade when you're ready.
You'll have to take a very close look at the extra features of the sample players to find out weather it matters to you.

We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
