Acoustic drums samples with hand hits?

I'm just curious if anyone has any drum samples of a regular acoustic drumkit, only struck with the hands/fingers/etc. Or for that matter, it would be nice to have them hit with anything besides normal sticks/beaters/brushes. But first and foremost, hands.

Anyone know of either cheap samples or free samples of this? I'm needing something like that for a piece I'm dreaming up. Thanks.

could be handy indeed ('scuse the pun!)

I play with hands on a normal kit quite a lot.. on a std snare, throw off the snares and you have a convincing bongo, which with decent playing (proper muting, use of rim shots, etc) can work really well. I will often end up using that on at least one song whenever I'm playing in church, and used to do it regularly when playing with a Joni Mitchell styled folk singer a few years back..

If I get a decent mic and audio card, I might do some myself - but don't hold your breath!!

ns_kit7 (full) comes with hand-struck kits (one complete set of toms, cymbals and two snares; kick still pedalled...).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will check out the sounds on the Freesound project.

I forgot about NSKit, but I do have plenty of drum kits and don't know if I want to pay the full price for just the hand hits, but we'll see. I already have the free version as well as the 1GB CM version. But I will definately look into it as you really can't have enough kits I guess!

Thanks again guys!
