Old funk loops

Ages ago I bought a CD called Soundscan 70s Breakbeats, and it's full of mad old-school funk loops sampled directly from vinyl... very noisy & gritty and full of vibe...

I've used it to death lately, and I'm trying to look for something similar... most "old school" or "funk" sample cds going around at the moment tend to be "construction kit" focused, with a whole bunch of one-shots and cheap knock off sounds that are supposed to sound old school but really don't IMHO...

Can anyone recommend any other CDs which are basically just old school drum loops?? No construction kits, no imitations, just actual loops sampled from vinyl or whatever, which sound old? Any help would be appreciated :D

the 4-CD pack called "Old School Flavours" seems what you are looking for

Not quite what you asked for, but:

any acoustic loop + Sonitex (http://www.kvraudio.com/get/2268.html) = possible? :)

Thanks for the link loop digga, will check it out...

@ fr4ncesco - I managed to get a copy of that old school flavours pack finally and it's totally not what I'm after - it's a bunch of new loops recorded by someone trying to emulate various old school grooves - the loops aren't bad rhythmically, but the whole thing is too clean & nice & polite...

That 70s breakbeat CD are all sampled from vinyl, and often times the drums are totally smashed with compression or tape saturation & noise, and I'm after something really gritty and full of vibe like that... are there any other commercially available CDs like this? Coz this Soundscan 70s Breakbeats one is the only one I've been able to find so far...

that is one of the only two sample cds that I have and I know exactly what you're talking about, outside of that I haven't seen anything besides that old famous link loopdigga posted. another rout though would be to go to some dj shops and get some battle break records which are basicly the same thing on vinyL, but at least they came from vinyL and went to vinYL. another idea is to use what you got and get some midi files to change'em up like say pair 70's soundscan with some groovemonkee midi files or some thing like that.

hmm good idea... i'll have to just totally siphon that link and see whether there's anything good in there I reckon...

So much of the sample CD market is total shite... :(

Ubiquity loops would probably do it for you, although they're (probably) meant for DJs to put between songs.
