finally, a cpu friendly sampler, it seems
:)

I like the idea of being able load samples in their native format and have them playback as intended, but it seems like that kind of does away with the main purpose of ESC?
Then again the sampler will have it's own save as format to add to the fray.
Still the idea of being able to load and play without messing with conversion is pretty tempting :D

does that site say they're working hard or hardly working on the next esc!?

So -- Will this compete directly with the Giga VI, then?

I've been contemplating buying GVI, since I can get it so cheap as a result of getting in on the ScitScat GS3 Ensemble deal.

But I don't think I really need the GVI effects, so maybe this would do just as well, if priced competitively.

Yes/no?

If you bought ExSC with the Wusik deal last year like me, you'll get this free. :D

Ain't life grand? :D :D

EDIT: Or was it almost free.... Oh well whatever...

IIRC back then it was never said to be free but $20... but yeah, life's grand indeed ;)
The mind boggles.

What makes this interesting to me is that it plays virtually any sample in any format direct from disk without the hassle of conversion and saving, and all that bother.

Sooo ... it's a universally convenient sample player - kontakt, halion, sf2 etc all on demand

And extranslator are already have shedloads of sampling expertise, so it'll probably really work like it says it should.

It it might even be free :o :D

Good news 8)

This is pretty exciting. I was just thinking of upgrading my version 2 of ExSC to version 3. Now I'm not sure if I should just wait for the sampler.

It would be cool, for example, to load Sonic Synth's samples in their native format.

Dam! I saw no need for buying ESC last year and now....... Oh well.
