I use a lot of sampled instruments. But (and I'll warn you, I'm a real sax player) sampled saxes are the equivilent of holding up a bad Xerox and trying to pass it off as a Picasso painting....
Too much going on in between the notes and with different combinations of mouth, mouthpiece, horn body, keys and overtones. They just never sound convincing (unless you're going to bury them in a horn section or orchestra).

I have it and as timobrien mentioned you may not get the results you like. I mainly use them for backing parts...not for solos or featured instruments.

I agree. I've been looking for good sax samples but it feels like you need all 10,000 different timbres and velocities etc, for every single note just so you can choose a different one to lay down every time. Even though the recorded samples sound good, play them in a melody and somehow it manages to sound worse than an old Casio preset. There is no substituting for the real thing in this case.

though it is not a sax library wesgate has some really decent free trumpet samples (giga format ) but you can find a converted sf2 on sf2midi
