Squids (or anyone else who'd care to respond),

I was wondering in light of the recent announcement by Mackie about the impending release of "Tracktion 3" if perhaps the goodies included with "StealthPlug" might be receiving an "upgrade", i.e., dropping "Tracktion 2.1" from the package in favor of "Tracktion 3"? This is probably more an IK Multimedia issue than a Sonic Reality one, but it can't hurt to ask. (Can it?

) Whispers, rumors, etc. as such are welcome.

No, Tracktion 3 will not be bundled with anything. Tracktion 2.1 is Mackie's new "OEM" bundle version. I believe you can upgrade to Tracktion 3 though (not sure) but either way Tracktion 3 is not that expensive. Of course StealthPlug's value of software and sounds justifies its price many times over so I don't think it changes much. Tracktion 2.1 is a great thing to have in the package as an extra bonus. The main thing of course is the audio interface cable and AmpliTube 2 Live which at the moment you can't get any other way.

Very good re: my initial query. However, I have a follow-up question.

In the listing of software included with "Tracktion 3" at Mackie.com, there's mention of "IK Multimedia Amplitube Uno w/ upgrade to Duo LE". What is this exactly? (I assume -albeit a dangerous word

- it's something derived from "Amplitube 2" proper, but...)

AmpliTube Duo is twice as good as AmpliTube Uno.

Just kidding. But it is basically 2 amps instead of one. I am not sure if it is out yet but it's nice (and if free then... not too bad at all eh?). You also qualify for the upgrade to AmpliTube 2 FULL though which you can get from www.esoundz.com and save a bit there (and instead of 2 amps you can have thousands of amp combinations).

Basically, the damn stealthplug is free and fact, you actually get more than you paid simply in the upgardes you qualify for...
