I've been looking at the current midi knob & fader controller offerings and they are either way too expensive, lacking some features or flimsy cheapies, and none of them are designed to fit (physically) to my notebook-based setup.
I've found a very well documented DIY controller project, the MIDIbox, which could be a cost-effective, totally custom solution. I already have a pic, soldering iron and skillful hands, not so sure about the time
If you have built one, please share your experiences?
