Miroslav brass attacks

Overall I am happy with the sound quality vs. price of Miroslav. But I recently input an orchestral score note-for-note from one that I have on a shelf. It contains some moderately fast 16th note passages that all the brass sections share in unison. The problem is that the articulations for the brass sections are not short enough to make these 16th sound at all. The note must be held out a tad longer before the notes are heard (rapid eights at the same tempo work fine). I adjusted the Attack knob but it had no effect that I could tell. Any staccato articulation would not apply .. these are simple, ordinary, legato 16th passages. How can I get Miro to play them??

How fast are these 16th notes (what is the BPM of your project)?
Why wouldn't you try use the staccato-samples if the passage is too fast for the horns-sustains? It sounds like you programmed the notes instead of recording them from a midi-keyboard, right? You could try to adjust the length of the notes and move them slightly before the 16th-note grids if you think the attack is too slow. What I would also try is to layer the horns sustain with the horns staccatos, but make sure you turn down the volume of the staccato-samples, so it only gives the overall hornsound a bit more bite...

layering is not a bad idea, i'll try that. the notes are not detached, so staccato is not the best choice. the project is only 90 BPM. try it yourself, even playing from a keyboard, it's hard to get brass sections to articulate at that speed.

the original miroslav library was known for it's laid-back attacks and this leads one to comments like "not aggressive sounding" or "good for medium tempo music".
I personally like this quality as the brass in particular have a nice musical but small crescendo but it can be a problem sometimes as you have just experienced.
try the layering technique as suggested and play around with the note overlaps, even moving the part a few ticks ahead.
I have also found that a few instruments work if you use a solo instrument over the section and move it few ticks ahead to 'fill-in' the gaps and make for a smoother line. just watch the volume of these layers.
