Anyone use K2 as a drum sampler?

And if so...how do you like it?

I don't have K2 yet (or a drum module/sampler for that matter) and have tons of .wav drum sounds that I used to load up in FL, just because I didn't have anything that worked that well otherwise.

An NI tech said that K2 can set "choke" groups, so that if you map out some hi-hats you can have them cut off other hi-hat sounds.

Is anyone both using and happy with K2 as a drum sampler laid-out in this manner? Could you have a whole drum kit with certain "zones" going to different outputs? And still put a "choke" on one of those groups?

Yes, it's the only thing I use for drums. Choking - yes, you can set x amount of samples/zones to a "voice group" -- and to choke, set that voice group's polyphony to 1.

2nd Q - yes, AFAIK.
