Hi. I'm looking to add another mic pre to my setup and would like a transparent uncoloured type pre. I currently have a SPL Goldmike, Studio Projects VTB1 and Soundcraft M8. The pres that I have on my shortlist are the ART MPA GOLD, Rane Ms-1b and M-Audio DMP3. My budget is £200 max. Would any of these pres be an improvement over my VTB1 or Soundcraft M8? If they are, which would you recommend?
