Hi Bigtick;
Thanks in advance for any help, I recently purchased a new Music only PC and I'm in the process of re-installing all my VST instruments back on there(wow what a chore !!) but I don't know how to reinstall Rhino (I am a registered used and bought many of the soundsets under "stephen Rivera"), can you please tell me what I need as I would have to scan through my emails on my old PC to find any reg info on your software ??

Hi AzureCrystal,
Re-installing Rhino is a very simple process...sort of.
Just download the latest full installer from the website (the "Demo" version) and install that. Then, move the license file from your old installtion to the directory in which you've installed Rhino on your new computer. Boom! You're done.
Then, the only thing you have left to do is to download and re-install and waveform addons from the big-tick site, and move any presets you had in the preset folder. Also, I think there is a file (an ini maybe?) that keeps track of the library system...and I'm pretty sure if you just move that into the new install directory, it should remember those settings as well.
Peace

I have a Serial Numbers Word doc that I -after going through exactly this process - try to faithfully keep up to date. As soon as I get a serial number, it gets entered on the list. It's been a godsend. Due to spikes of paranoia, I make sure it's backed up to about 10 different locations on various hard-drives, etc.

Two different directories on each of two computers, both backed up by a separate backup server, and also on a USB key somewhere. It's a pain if I buy something new and have YAFSN to update and then propagate the file around, but it's still saved my bacon a few times. I also have a list of share-it ID's and reg files/key files from Rhino, Image Line, EXT, etc, in the same directory.
The only other difference is that I use a .txt file rather than a Word doc, so that even if Word was broken, I could still get at my regcodes.

I do something very similar. I always make a notepad file with the download location, serial, usernames, passwords and receipt information. I cannot tell you, considering the thousands of stuff I have bought, how much that has come in handy. I also have that backed up all over the place.
It, too, came from having to re-install a bunch of times.
