Hi everyone

Many wish they had never existed, but at 37 years of age I'm an unashamed fan of the SAW (Stock, Atiken & Waterman) period in the late 80s- Hazell Dean, Dead or Alive, Bananarama, Rick and of course Kylie. I'd love to chat to any other fans of their music with a emphasis on drum/synth programming and how to create THAT sound. Either love them or loath them, SAW may have had their share of stinkers, yet there's no doubt that they crafted some amazing hits because of their ability to devise a good melody accompanied by excellent programming and tight complex arrangements. They weren't called the Hit Factory for nothing!

I've come across various fan based sites, but haven't had much luck meeting others interested in this music from a tech/programming perspective. If anyone knows of any sites, articles or other people to contact, please let me know. Pete Hammond or Karen Hewitt..if your out there, please drop me a line...I'd love to chat about how you engineered THAT sound.

Loved their music, too. And some songs still "work". Great melodies, harmonies, perfect arrangements and a new, unique and excellent sound.
