while its not a 100% accurate 12 or 18 string guitar sound, its much easier to play and can give you tones that no other octave pedal can. The organ sounds are especially impressive, and the filter is nice as well.

this thing was made for a rhodes stage piano!

This pedal is absolutely mind blowing, prolly my fav "effect" even tho it doesnt really "effect" the sound. I was skeptical that it would help my situation, as I have powerlines running through my back yard, as well as have the houses main breakerbox directly behind my PC. This pedal *really* does eliminate all hum. I dont know how it works, coz its not a gate, or a filter, it really just eliminates the hum, in my case by at least 40db. I can now play both my strat and P-90 equiped sheraton on one pickup and use high gain amps in my gearbox. I cant stress enough how amazingly well this pedal works.

There are conflicting reports about the Hum Debugger - some say it's almost magic and it eliminates the hum without changing the tone or character at all and others are saying that it totally destroys their tone...? Almost anyone with a Strat or Tele (etc) needs something like the Hum Debugger...does the tone seem unchanged to you even with a clean amp?

Post

IMHO, there is no change in tone. Im not saying it couldnt be changing the tone(but I dont hear it)and I realize it has to be doing *something* to remove the hum, but even if it does change the tone this pedals tone changing is much more welcome than the 60hz hum that hovers at about -35db in my studio. Strangely, I do hear some very high frequency artifacts when the "strong" setting is selected, but in my setup I didnt notice any difference in noise suppression for the 2 settings. But like I said, its very transparent and it kills the hum.

For 118 bucks its cheaper than anyother solution Ive seen(including humbuckers for both my guitars...) and I really like my sheratons Gibson P-94/SD phat cat P-90 pickup combo.

Great! :D This is definately on my "must try/buy" list, then!! Thanks for the info!

if it can reduce single coil hum when you're sitting near a monitor, and with very minimal tonal change, then it might make it onto my shopping list too.

I love EH pedals, been using 'em since the late 70's. Got
a bunch of originals and the Worm, Q-Tron & Octave Multiplexer
from the new bunch. I've really been lusting for one of these
tho:
