My ears are a bit fried but even so, I know this mix isn't quite right (especially the out of control dubby drum parts). But I wanted to get some feedback on the tune itself. Stylistically I suppose its sort of hybrid, maybe described as Dixie Dregs meets the Zenyatta Mondatta era Police meets a bunch of delay banks.

This is very cool Shane! I like the tune a lot... and that Steely Dan bridge section... wow! It really depends on the context you envision for it but I would say that the changes in instrumentation give it a constantly moving, hard-to-pin-down sort of quality. This lack of continuity could be viewed as a positive or a negative, again depending on the context.

Good to hear some more of your stuff, it's been a while.

Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, it has been a while. My head & heart just haven't been right for music lately, so it doesn't surprise me that this has a disjointed quality to it. Listening to it again this morning, I think I need to kill about half of the dubby delay stuff.
