I'm finding that I love the SS2 interface more than ST2's.
Does SS2's GUI lack anything that ST2's has? As far as sound and functionality goes?
Thank you,

Any problems with using ST2 sounds in SS2?

I had a list floating around somewhere... off the top of my head, the main differences are:
Sonik Synth 2 can only load the Sonik Synth 2 sound library (SampleTank2 can load all SampleTank-format libraries, including Sonik Synth 2 and Miroslav Philharmonik).
SampleTank2 has the ability to load and save effects presets, bypass all effects with a single button, and "lock" an effects block so it stays the same as you're browsing presets.
Sonik Synth 2 displays its 16 parts over two pages with larger text, SampleTank2 fits it all on one page with smaller text.
SampleTank2 currently has a newer engine, with Phrase Stretch mode and a few other enhancements (though Sonik Synth 2 will be updated soon).
There might be a few other minor things, but that's about it.
