Where can I find strings for hip hop?
Strings like heard in:
Pussycat Dolls - Beep
Sean Paul - We Will be burning (the big strings after 8 bars)
You get the picture... The big full strings that doesn't really sound classical, but more of hip-hop...
Anybody?

I'm not sure exactly how the strings sound in those tracks but perhaps Downtown strings 1 and 2 from Power fx (sample cd's) will do the job.
You could of course also get a sample library (eg. EWQLSO Silver) and play/program the strings yourself.

Any string ensemble patch will get you that sound. Nothing special really...

The P.C.D strings are an ELO sample. Samples are a great way to go, otherwise EWQLSO as mentioned above. Don't forget the technioques employed, ie, scooping out the mids, bit reduction, and looping.

i saw that big fish audio has a new string loop library -

this sort of stuff is interesting cause you can grab stuff out of the loops, manipulate it and it will have a better chance of sounding "sampled" than multisample arrangements (which are great if you like to actually write the parts dont get me wrong!)

I can almost guarantee that most ofthose strings came from the top of the line keyboards like the motif, triton or fantom... All those keyboards have some really big big sounds straight out of the box...
