boss rrv-10 problem

i have some problem with an old boss rrv-10. it get much louder in volume in different frequencies. i dont know if i bought a faulty one? it got some great reviews on harmony central, and its a perfect reverb for my needs except for that problem. is eq the best way to fix this?

Yeah, try EQ before the sound goes in. But at the other hand this is probably the whole character of the unit...
