This is a sample that I've heard in songs from several different breakbeat artists. The link here is three pieces from three different songs. The sample I'm interested in is the vocal part. In the second chunk, I can make out something like "I wanna rock like that".

If anybody has any idea what this is from, I'm dying to know.

'It Takes Two' by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock
Its actually: I wanna rock right now.
This is well old - like '89 or something?
*slightly off topic*, if you liked My Name Is Earl, check out the one where they thought they'd turned this guy gay years ago; they track him down to try to right the wrong as usual, but it turns out he decided toi be gay anyway. So Earl decides that he has to do something for him anyway, karma and all that. So he tells them, okay, you have to help me hook up with another guy; so they go to this gay bar - you've got to watch this, it is SO FUNNY - Earl does the usual voice over, talking about the moral of what he's trying to do, about karma etc; he says:
"we realised that the power of the humanspirit could never be defeated, especially when it's been tempered by fifteen bottles of beer and Rob Base & EZ rock"
and with that you see Randy sort of doing this shuffling dance when the DJ drops 'It Takes Two' - its just that sequence - seeing a guy who obviously remembers the track from first time round, maybe doen't go clubbing anymore - but still wants to do his little shuffle on the floor... had me laughing man, I'm smiling just thinking about it - I tell you--you've got to see it!

Thank you!
So much.
I watched Earl for the first 10 episodes or so and then kinda fell out of it, but I'll have to try and get a hold of that episode.
Thanks again!

... and when you track this down, most of the non-rap sections in it are sampled from the early 70s soul song "Think" by Lynn Collins. She was a singer with James Brown.markoos wrote:'It Takes Two' by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock
