), Chris an i had an idea looking at the Analog superbooth...Here is the basic pitch:
We would organise a big stand (probably bigger than the analog superbooth) for small independant developers. In return for sharing the costs, each developer would get an area dedicated to their company, plus access to a shared meeting area on the stand, their logo on the shared Superbooth banner etc. We also talked about doing a printed CD/DVD to give away on the stand with everyones demos on / marketing information etc.
The basic idea behind this is that as independants we are often small companies who cant afford to do this kind of thing by ourselves - the costs just for floor space are massive! However, if we split the cost between several of us, it instantly becomes a lot cheaper for all of us. It also means that distributors know exactly where to go when looking to find their new products!!
Now obviously it is very early to be discussing this kind of thing, but we wanted to guage general interest. We would only be able to go ahead with this if enough developers were interested and obviously the size of stand that we get would be based on the number of developers that signed up.
