I liked the mention of 'original condition' in the write up, then the list of faults and replacement parts. I doubt I'll be making a bid somehow tho'

looks white too meGreen pickguard is in exceptional shape with NO CRACKS! something you don't see too often.
17 grand and he can't even clean it up?The body is in rather worn condition with chips all over, dings and a gouge or two, many go through to the wood. The odd discoloration on the top was determined by the experts to simply be dirt and probably sweat that has soaked into the finish, Talk about vibe!
The beautiful dark Brazillian Rosewood fingerboard has some minor dings.
worn body (beat to shit is more like it), dinged up neck and worn case....well at least the pickgaurd is nice...but you gotta love how he tries to deal with it being in poor condition. The case is in worn condition.
he changed it some, it use to say he should raise the priceThis guitar is an investment and will run circles around probably all of your portfolio if you are just buying for investment sake. Most vintage experts agree these can appreciate at 30% and more per year, WOW!!!! Some vintage snobs will tell you that these have to be in excellent condition to be of investment grade....WRONG!!!! The bottom line is there were only so many of these made and only so many exist so regardless of its condition, it will only do one thing and that is continue to go up in value and up and up and up, end of story and the investor/player lived happily ever after!!!!
so far no bids, I really hope it stays that way...the price of old guitars has gotten out of hand as have most new guitars. It's time to stop the bleeding...17,000 dollars for a piece of shit
This guitar just oozes with vintage vibe and will be equally at home in an investors safe or better yet in a players studio laying down yet to be heard magic!

do you really think so? I use to make my living buying and selling used gear and I don't agree...maybe, and this is a big maybe, if it were in 100% original. I guess well know in a few days..fred2112 wrote:Well this guitar in good in perfect condition wort 60 000 $

At 16 000 $ its 1/4 of the listed price but its not in perfect condition of course.
If you want the sound of a strat...well ...you have it for 16 000$......I think its on target but I wanna try it before buy
I bet this guitar sound exactly like the one in perfect condition ! maybe ! If it the case....well its only 1/4 of the price no Mather the scratch on it !
So far only one knob are not original !
But 16 000 $ are a way to expensive for a guitar for me !

I dont think old guitars are really worth that much to buyers, only to their sellers.
I have a worn-to-crap Fender/Ibanez/Roland ghetto-frankenstein piece guitar that is worth more than $20K to me; although i imagine nobody would give me more than a dollar or two for it...

I dunno, you could send to fender custom, have them spruce it up for $2000 and have a $19000 guitar worth abround 2k
Play what you feel and feel what you play.

those guitar are expensive because there is only a few guitar with this sound on the planet !
Personally I wont pay more then 2-3000 $ for a guitar.
Some can afford it and good for them but personally, I'm not rich yet !
