My current cans (Stanton DJ Pro 1000 MKIIS) are close to kicking the bucket so I'm looking for a replacement for use with my iPod but also as monitors while tracking guitar.

Are they really worth the price? The E2Cs are the base model and they're almost twice the price of my Stantons.

Their size and the sound isolation angle are very tempting though.

Just looking for any first-hand accounts to influence my decision.
