I'm using the General Remote Controller in Cubase SX3 to map the A6 Alesis Andromeda (NRPN) knobs to some VST knobs.
Well when mapping the filter 2 cutoff knob, it's movement is smooth on the vst... switching to Filter 1 cutoff to control the SAME knob on vst... it goes stepped... a lot stepped.
On the korg Legacy MS20 the filter 2 knobs has the right 0,01 increment/decrement... the filter 1 knobs... steps about 0,30... I tried with the polysix... the same...
I tried with few other vst and ... well all the first row of the Andromeda knobs (osc 1, filter 1 with it's cutoff, resonance and so on) are stepping.
Alesis support answered to me that ... they're surprised that I can control the VST knobs...because VST use midiCC and the Andromeda output NRPN... so it's not possible...
ehm... Are they living on mars? I had a behringer BCR2000 using NRPN mapped in the same way with no problems at all... I sold it because the A6 is giving me the sound I need and much more knobs to control everything I need.Someone has experienced the same problem? Is there any issue?
Is the A6 ouputting only the msb for the 1st row? Is there any way to "probe" it?
