How Come Toxic3 Won't Load Toxic1 or 2 Banks??? That's kind of messed up what if you made a bunch of banks in ToxicII than upgraded to ToxicIII and you can't even load the Banks into it!

Toxic3 was coded from the ground up, and doesn't quite have the same feature set as Toxic2 did, so loading the presets wouldn't be possible (some needed features are missing, for example). You can quite happily keep both Toxic2 and 3 installed simultaneously though: they compliment each other quite nicely!

...oohh... a long story.
When I wasn't an IL guy yet, I've made Toxic, the successor of eJ. eJ discontinued, as I was an only man behind the computer and I just couldn't support many stuff.
Then there was Toxic2. It had some users and success, but after all I've bothered with that... I wanted to fresh it up. It was necessary to jump on next level, and it was screaming for Mac version. It needed serious code rewriting, T2 was based on die hard Win code.
So it was more easy to rewrite it from the ground. And, after general clean up, I removed some controls which were used so rarely and they just taken space on the screen, added some new controls... etc. And after all I've came to new synth, named Toxic III (which had version 1.0, but not 3.0 btw, what nobody noticed
). And making presets compatible was planned, but not immediately... then this story with IL started, and there wasn't sence to make TIII and T2 compatible.
It was a solution which didn't make everybody happy. Coz not everybody liked new design style, and a couple of ppl missed controls I changed. But most users liked it... so result was positive after all.
New version of Toxic is planned. It will have more improvements, and have some additional features... but not right now as I'm busy with Morphine atm. And sure: it will be fully compatible with TIII - I never make the same mistake twice
