how do i make the "about to pass out" kachunkkachunkkachunkkachunkkachunkkachunka

running what through...granulizer? delay?

it's like a tingle evolving and stepping and rising and flanging

fatboy slim did a similar effect with the "funk soul brother" break where it rises in pitch and speed. yes, i have phut boy slim. i'm not talking about the frozen stutter

i'd like to know the exact formula for the sound in the matrix. i want to loop it and lose my mind to it

A loop where you move the loop point closer and closer together ? That's what mr Cook did,not sure about the Matrix sound. Sound clip perhaps ?

just pop in your standard issue copy of the matrix and take the red pill

how do i move the start or end point closer and slide the loop over at the same time?

i don't own a copy of the matrix. if you've ever stood up too fast and come close to passing out, you'll know the sound

you should post a sound clip. there are a few different weird sounds in "the matrix."

I think I know which sound you mean. It's granular time stretching.

----Assign loop points to midi controllers I would think. It's an old hardware trick, seems like FLA used to do it at least once per album. Not sure of the sound yer talking about, but assign either the start or end point to a knob or mod wheel and have at it for the weird speeding up repeat sound.

i always get close with ktgranulator, but no banana

i had no luck with heizenbox

i can't get highlife's markers to automate, and tracktion's only sampler option is "ignore release" :hihi:

the sound i'm talking about is right when neo leaves the matrix after he takes the red pill. it's the part where he turns silver

i'm looking for step by step instructions to make this sound

thank you

Have you tried a gliding timestretch?

If you are on the Mac then this is excellent...it was also the actual program used to make a lot of the Matrix sound fx's and the one you are looking for.

Also used in the Matrix was a program called soundhack.

Cheers.

i've noticed similarities in automated bit crushing, but it's not the sound. good trip though

tracktion won't let me automate its "timestretch" :hihi: (come on, i'm dealing with tracktion here)
