I am experiencing issues with MIDI out using my Yamaha PSR410. I currently have it connected via MIDI cable/USB to my Dell laptop. If I try to use ACID to record the MIDI as I play on the keyboard, all I get during playback is about 1 out of 6 notes, or one note about every 8-10 seconds. The same thing happens when I play on the keyboard and try to control one of my VST instruments - it picks up about the same ratio of notes...

I dont have any problem playing MIDI files from the laptop to the keyboard - they play great. and I have a "Bome's Mouse keyboard" virtual MIDI keyboard on the laptop and it both records fine and plays the VST fine...

any ideas/sugggestions are welcome

If your using M audio midisport uno ,get another interface....Uno cannot handle the transmission....I learned this from a yamaha tech...

not to discount the cable, as I have just been reading about possible problems with it on another forum... but what is it that the cable cannot handle? as mentioned it handles FROM the laptop TO the keyboard perfectly...

and... what other interface would be recommended? the laptop offers 1-USB, 1-parallel, and 1-serial for inputs
