I just acquired a g5, which seems to come with TOSLink digital audio. I know these are quite common on minidisc recorders, but I was wondering if there are any mixers out there that support this connection?

G5 as in iMac G5?
The toslink connection is also known as optical SPDIF. There's also the ADAT standard (8 channels) using the same toslink cable/connection but with an incompatible digital protocol.
Do you want the output of the iMac to go to the mixer (for listening), or the output of the mixer to the iMac (for recording) or both?
The Edirol M10MX for example has SPDIF outputs only. The LEM Ultimix has both digital inputs and outputs on the 2-track bus. Probably there are more contenders... Maybe look into some of the Yamaha digital mixers.
