Bjork was awesome. She had background singers, a brass section, a guy controlling Reactable and another guy on the Lemur.

I'm almost certain Reactable and the Lemur weren't actually controlling anything though... They would keep showing close-ups on the big-screens of the Lemur interface, and the guy controlling it would be riding the faders throughout the entire song but I couldn't actually hear any changes in the music. The same with Reactable... the guy was busy placing and removing modules, moving them around, rotating em, but no change in sound whatsoever and the pulse in the middle of the table wasn't even on time with the tempo of the song. Cool that they are using dope, new technology but very lame that it was all for show. I also caught a quick glimpse of another guy behind a laptop using Ableton Live, who was probably the only one who had any control over anything... most likely just triggering scenes.

Either way, Bjork was still incredible to see live.

Was it pached? We didn't go this year because you had to buy the three day pass and the whole story for me and my girl would have been like 600+ bucks.
Coachella has become a festival for rich california kids...
We're gonna go see her and Manu Chao at the gorge in Wa!!

Was it packed? If you mean packed as in crowded then HELL YEA but the venue is HUGE so it wasn't an issue. The venue is awesome though. Clean, lots of beer gardens, resting areas, grass fields, etc. Parking was a nightmare though. It took me 2 1/2 hours to make it out of the parking lot after the show.

Coachella is expensive, but it was definitely worth it. The ticket prices are understandable considering how huge the venue is and the large amount of stages and artists. For me, seeing Bjork live was worth the ticket price alone.

FYI, lots of ppl cant' go last minute so they sell their tickets on craiglist for decent prices. My buddy got one yesterday for $60.

coachella is the best concert/festival i've ever been to. i went last year and it was amazing (flew in from canada to see it). it is well organized and the facilities are amazing. all the bands tend to be on their A-game because it's the biggest show of their tours often... I really really wanted to go this year but it sold out too fast and i couldn't get the cash together in time. I'll go next time that New Order plays (if they ever play it again)... I was too strpped for cash that year as well

i'll prob just catch her at V-fest in toronto this year... can't wait to hear the new pumpkins lineup as well...
