For A long time I used ACID Music Studio. It was great for a beginne, but decided it was time to switch to SONAR 6.
I love the Sequencer, but I miss the ACID Music Manager so much!
It was a sort of file explorer for samples, but samples were added by assigning a folder for it to monitor, and it had the amazing ability of assigning samples tags - bass drum etc., without me telling it to (you can also do this manually).
You can then search through the files with the help of the tags, and find what you want as quickly as you can type.
Can you think of another "SONY Media Manager" that I can use that will tag my samples and keyword search them? It can be either vst or standalone, although vst would be better, as I can import it into SONAR.
Thanks,

i just use folders with names like "strings" and "voc". in percussion i separate the e drums from the a drums and so on. i've only found few samples that are usable, so it's easy to find 1 sample out of 6
