Hi,

We're glad to present you Deckadance (1.05) :

You can download & try it here : http://demo.deckadance.com.

Deckadance will cost $179 but can be purchased at the introductory price of $149 in our shop during the month of May.

----------------------------------------------------

Deckadance is a DJ mixing application that works either as a standalone program OR as a VSTi plugin inside your favourite host. Deckadance itself can also host any VST compliant softsynth or effect.

You can control Deckadance using most (if not all) existing midi controllers & timecoded vinyl and CD systems.

Image-Line, the company behind Deckadance, has more than 10 years of experience in writing and managing audio software such as FL Studio. In developing Deckadance, we didn't just bring in some consulting DJs to tell our software
engineers what they wanted. Deckadance was written by a DJ (Argu) for DJs, so we are confident that it will take your DJing to the next level.

Of course, if you suck as a DJ, you will still suck using Deckadance, but you will suck better, faster, harder and more creatively than ever before!

This thing looks cool, with support of VST synths and effects it's even better.

we're doing the best to have it as soon as possible.

I'm always game for trying new DJing software, i love DJing with MP3 and nothing has yet hit the sweet spot for me, although a couple of things are amazing (Live, Traktor for example) they have still not quite been comfortable enough for me or had the right combo of features and usability. Traktor is amazing but th FX are still lacking, after all this time.

Ableton live is nothing short of revolutionary but it doesn't exactly encourage spontaneity as a DJ tool.

Up steps a new contender! :)

Now if only i could get the demo to download sometime this year :bang:

The demo is available for some time now at fruityloops.com

I'm wondering, has anyone tryed this out yet? If yes, whats the performance like? Would like to know what the 'real world' response is like with the timecoded vinyl..

You have a discount offer at the moment, I'm on a Mac so can't try it out. Will the offer still be valid following the release of the Mac version?

Will the license be cross-platform?

Any chance for a crossgrade offer for owners of from Traktor?

I do really like the look of this, but there's no option for a 3rd or 4th virtual deck.

I think this is really good. I'm really excited with what i could do in the demo.
I'm lookin for something like this to mess about with at home.
If i want to use timecode do you have to buy hardware like with serato & FS?
I don't really want to spend that much money just to mess with at home, but i'm a bit confused what other hardware i need to get this to work with timecode vinyl/cds.
I have a cd deck & a few spare mixers, vinyl decks & a 1820m sound card with multiple ins & outs.
